CAA Permission for Commercial Operations

1. Theory Course

Successful completion of our full PFCO course allows us to make a recommendation to the CAA for those looking to get a Permission for Commercial Operations.

 

3. Operations Manual

We provide assistance with this stage during the aviation theory section of our course, as well as providing a fantastic template to work from.

2. Flight Test

A hands-on Operational Flight Assessment to gauge pilot competence, can be completed at the same time as the theory course, or at a later date.

 

4. Insurance and Application

We’ll help you find the right insurance package, and apply to the CAA for your permission based on our recommendation.

With our partners at The Aerial Academy, we offer a two day certification course that covers everything needed to gain a permission for commercial operations (PfCO) from the CAA. This permission is a legal requirement for any person or company that wishes to pilot a drone system for commercial work.

Courses run here in Northumberland have more of an agricultural slant than others and numbers are low, usually between 1 and 5 people.

Courses are run on an ad-hoc basis, so please request a date, and we’ll let you know if its suitable. bookings must be for two or more people. For single bookings, please contact us to see if any dates already have courses running.
